Learn to Kayak, Kootenay Style. Pool sessions are held at the 
Trail Aquatic Centre from 9:00 - 10:00 PM on Thursdays from January-March 29. Instruction and equipment is available. Cost ranges from $2.00 for entry to the pool for club members with their own equipment, to $9.00 for non-members requiring equipment. Folk requiring instruction should join the club. Club memberships* will be available for $30.00 ($15 to club; $15 to provincial paddling association for insurance purposes). For further information contact the instructor,

From May to September you can do the great outdoors down one of BC's best Grade 3 Rivers. Contact Chris or Andrea at Endless Adventure for more details.
*Club membership is available for $15 and reserves you a boat for each pool session. Joining the club is not mandatory, but it's a great idea to support the club's ongoing efforts, especially if you plan to attend more than once. Ask the instructors about club details or how to sign up.
Instructors and fee collectors: Dragan, Carl, Chris, Jim + Others (each depending on the week)
What to bring: Your swim suit and towel (wet suits are all right if you prefer). Swim goggles and noseplugs are also recommended.
What to expect: The hour will be left for you to feel out a kayak if you are a complete novice. If you want to learn the rolling process then speak up and ask one of the Instructors for help. That's what we are there for. We usually have a good turn out, so we may be very busy, but we will eventually get to you. In other words, don't expect a 1on 1 lesson for the entire hour and most definately, don't expect to be rolling on the first night.
Out of towners: Email me if you need a car pool ride arranged as I can put you in touch with one another. As for pool sessions in Nelson, I have been heard that they are starting on January 22 and cost $10. I doubt gear will be provided as it is not affiliated with Borderline Boaters Club. Please call the Nelson rec office for details (354-4386). Castlegar pool sessions have been canceled unless further interest is shown. Email me if you still want them?
